Sixty-Four: Lana

Lana's P.O.V.

My jaw dropped at the audacity of the woman on trial before us as she smiled at her alpha. She had tried to kill Oliver, then she had tried to get rid of me.

"Excuse me?" I asked instinctively, appalled by the audacity of the she-wolf. I had known better than to speak up and interrupt a pack meeting, but the words slipped from my lips as I stared at Nyla with incredulity.

Was she really that confident she would get away with it or was she just that entitled that she thought she could do no wrong?

"Please wait your turn, Lana." Alpha Jones scolded. Her collected composure left me with little hope that she was on our side. While she wanted to keep the peace between the two packs, I had to imagine it would be hard on her to sentence one of her own. "Nyla, did you or did you not kidnap Lana?"

"I did not," Nyla said with a smirk that dropped as her chains moved, sliding against the skin of her neck. "She came with me willingly. I did not force her, nor did I threaten her

i hope that the Alpha commands her to accept Oliver's rejection before she dies. Omg I can't wait for more. I'm proud of Lana for standing her ground and standing up for her man!!!
