***Keira's POV**

I was terribly tired of being locked up and the only thing I wanted to do was escape from this shabby room.

But then, escape was a luxury. Amanda had told me she had a surprise for me. I'm yet to find out what that surprise was all about.

Whatever it is she would like to show me or tell me, as her form of surprise cannot be good. For this reason, I have to be mentally prepared for whatever it is she's bringing to the table. This way, I'll prevent myself from getting hurt badly.

The door to the room flung open. I didn't bother to see who it was. It must be the guard serving dinner, since it must be almost dark outside. The only thing that kept me going was food and thoughts of escape. Though I don't know how that's going to be possible, I don't plan to stay locked up forever. I have a belief that I'll one day be able to leave this place.
