I didn't want to give it away that I was trying to propose to her though so I was very smart with the questions.

"You know I went to see my mom and dad yesterday nah" I said and she nodded.

"Yeah it's true. How are they?" She asked.

"They're good. But they just re confirmed the reason why I didn't like to go and see them before. Always asking me for a wife and grandchildren." I said and watched her reaction.

She breathed in and then out again. "Well, all parents are like that. But do you even want to get married?"

"I mean... I don't know yet. What about you? Do you see marriage in the picture for you?" I asked her.

She shrugged and I smiled a little. She looked at me suspiciously "Ah ah why the smile?" She said and cracked out a grin.

"I'm just smiling and um, anticipating your answer so spill." I said and chuckled when she playfully side eyed me again.

She shrugged again "I'm a bit so so about it. I do want to get married but I want it to mean a whole lot. Marriag
