I also knew about Kola trying to replace me. There was a saying that people in coma always knew what was being said about them and it was true.

I looked over and saw Matthew on his phone. "Ikem" I said. It came out as a croak. That was what happened when you hadn't talked for a week. Matthew's head rose very sharply.

"Sis?, oh my God sis you're awake!!!" He yelled.

I smiled. It felt week but I wasn't surprised. I was weak. I felt like I had been carrying a building for so long. My whole body hurt.

"I'm going to get the doctor." He urgently said. I lifted up my hand quite painfully and stopped him.

"Water" I croaked out. I was thirsty. Unbelievably so. This was the most thirsty I had ever been in my life.

"Okay" he said. He ran to where the provisions usually were and came out with three bottles of purified water.

He helped me up and I started drinking. To my greatest surprise, I finished the three bottles and was still slightly thirsty so I requested a fourth.
