“He ate it. Why wouldn’t he eat it? That’s the eels that I’ve paid a fortune for. How could he not eat it? Do you think that I’m going to trust your words? I just came from my son’s bedroom and he’s totally fine from head to toe. Nothing happened after he ate it. You’re just talking nonsense last night and trying to defame my eels. I’m glad that I didn’t believe you.”

“He really ate it?” Sarah laughed. The corners of her lips curved up. She was smiling sweetly like a little angel.

“What can you do even if I’ve eaten it? You can control James' life and death, but you can’t control our family, right?” One of Xavier’s hands was bent at his waist. He wished that he could rush up to Sarah and kick her many times.

Julia was really at a major disadvantage when Sarah was around last night.

Sarah pretended as if she had not heard it and looked down at her watch. She pinched her fingers and estimated the time. “Mmph… It’s almost time.”

“What’s almost time? Did you spend the whole night last
