Emily POV…

It was a cold night, and the rain continued to swatter, As tossed to and fro on my bed, however, I found it strenuous to shut my eyes. The thought of Ethan and Chloe together was something I would rather not imagine. For some reason, I couldn't understand why I suddenly became jealous of them. I blamed myself for everything that had happened if I hadn't slept with Ethan just for help. my mother, I wouldn't be in this mess today.

Finding it so restless to sleep, I spun out of bed, and picked up a pitcher of water; however, it was devoid. Then I remembered that the housekeeper had forgotten to refill the jug, before going to bed. I took a resonant breath and sauntered out of my room.
