Renewed Promises

~Day Nine

~Two Hours Later

I arrived at the compound an hour more than expected, in the shower I figured Michael was telling the truth about risks, so I went that extra mile so I wouldn't get followed. I stopped at the office, parked my car in the lot, hired an uber, then snuck out of my company, that wasn't easy at all. I took three ubers, instructing them to drop me at different locations, then i had to walk a little before arriving at the place.

Michael did his routine check for any stray dogs, once I was in the clear we rushed to his room.

"Is he awake?"

I couldn't hold it in much longer. I had to know if Antony was alright.

“As I said, you'll turn out as one of the first ten persons he sees when he wakes up."

That brought a smile to my face.

"Let's do that."

I nodded and Michael unlocked the door. The doctor hovered over him, checking teh equipments and a note pad in his hands.

"Are we ready?"

He shut the note, keeping it aside.

"Yes. I hope there aren't any compli
