Celebrations

Koni came inside the palace saw the happy festive environment in the otherwise silent gloomy palace.

He looked at the maids, who are chatting and working excitedly. He looked at the guards, who are more alert than usual.

'What is happening in here. I was gone for just one day and everything changed completely' he thought.

He went in search of Lord Alpine. He first searched for him in his royal quarters. But found it empty.

'Where is he? This the place where he spends most of the time. Where is he now?' he thought with confusion.

"Where is Lord Alpine?" Koni asked a nearby guard. 

Everywhere he looked, there are guards. Double than usual. His expression became from irritation to anger.

'I am the one whom he asks for everything. Then how dare he decides to increase the number of guards without asking me first?' Koni became angry.

"He is with King Alvin and the princess in their quarters" the guard replied.

"What? King Alvin?"
