Chapter 20

Before the sun had the chance to rise and wake me with its bright welcome, I was already up and dressed. For once I was awake before Grayson, I had to sneak away from his warm embrace, his arms tightened around me as I wriggled, and I almost had to fight my own urges to stay. But, after last nights positive meeting I was filled with a new sense of hope and energy, and Amara was begging to be let out once again. 

I slipped on a jumper and a pair of running shoes before exiting out the front door quietly. I breathed in the fresh, natural air and let my feet carry me rather than overthink things like I usually do. I promised Amara she could have full control on the way back, but for now, I was desperate for a swim in the crystal blue lagoon I had come to love. My feet carried me there once again, as they had before, and I certainly wasn't complaining. The lagoon had become my private oasis, a secret spot for me to get away to. 

As I was about to strip off I stop
