"If you die, Miss Emilia will be heartbroken."

Lola opened her eyes in the dawn light, her forehead still throbbing with pain, just like when she was caught stealing food for the first time as a child and was hit on the head with a wooden stick by the chubby male chef in the restaurant.

She felt as if her head had become a container full of milk, her brain swaying and getting battered with pain. The intense dizziness made her want to vomit, but Lola still persevered and resisted the urge, murmuring, "Thank God."

"You should thank Miss Emilia."

A familiar male voice rang out. Lola maintained her lying position on the bed and gently turned her aching neck to see Angus.

Just like when he was at the mansion, Angus was wearing a black shirt that had been washed until it had faded. However, he didn't have the same gentleness he had shown Emilia. When looking at Lola, he didn't seem to be looking at a living creature.

"What do you want to eat?" Angus asked, "But there's only bread."
