Caesar is not presently in a heat period; separated by such a vast distance, it is implausible for him to discern or be beguiled by the scent of an Omega.

However, at this moment, Caesar thinks his heat period has arrived prematurely. Despite the great distance that separates him from Lola—so far that it surpasses human olfactory perception—he perceives her scent as if she were nearby.

The glass on the table is empty, and Caesar wishes it to be filled with ice-cold water. Darkness encroaches as he remains motionless, confined and restrained by his military uniform and belt, enveloped and bound.
