"What did you talk about with the priest?"

Just a second before Lola reached out to pull the big ears, Caesar hugged her in time.

Lola leaned against his arm and, looking over Caesar's shoulder, still reluctantly looked at the donkey's two big ears.

Lola said, "Caesar, can't I touch its ears?"

Caesar said, "If your head can be harder than its hooves, I think you can."

Unfortunately, it couldn't be.

If Lola's fragile skull were kicked, it would only be like fragile almond jelly falling on the ground, smashing into a big mess.

Her head was full of water, seemingly stubborn, but actually so fragile that it could break at a touch.
