With a look of concern on her face, Emma gazed at Zane as he glared at the waitress, causing her to hold her breath, avoiding his dark look.

After a moment of hesitation and a glance at Emma, the waitress said, “The fellow behind you. He asked me to deliver the note to you and the wine to you. He claimed to be an acquaintance of yours.”

At that, Zane threw the piece of paper onto the table, waking from his seat, and grabbed the wine, causing Emma to frown slightly and picked up the paper.

When she unraveled it and read the context on the sheet, she knew her husband was about to fuck someone up badly and she mumbled, “Babe, wait…”

But her words fell on deaf ears as Zane moved for the guy, his grip on the bottle tightening as he stalked toward the stranger.

The fellow wore this mocking smirk that seemed to be carved on his face, and he leaned forward to rest his elbows against the table as he looked up at Zane, laughing as if he already knew what was going to happen.
