Chapter 56

Alex froze as he wasn't expecting it, slowly he raised his hands and hugged her back, stroking her hair. Tears were starting to build up again in Megan's eyes as Alex's words echoed in her head.

He wanted the best for her, he believed her, these were the only things Megan could think of.

“As for the collaboration with Elizabeth, I swear on my dead parents it's all for you” Alex added.

“Don't say that please Alex, I believe you” Megan countered.

“Taking Elizabeth down wouldn't be so easy, but if you stand with me, I promise you we will be victorious” Alex stated.

Megan pulled back slowly, wiping the tears away from her eyes as she nodded in affirmation to what Alex said. Her heart was already settled and the tension and panic she felt earlier was all gone.

Her eyes locked with Alex's, and she couldn't help but admire his face. He was beautiful, the kind of beauty you can't take your mind off, her eyes trailed all over his face until her gaze rested on his lips.
