Lovestruck

*Present day*

Laurel was near the river and she could hear the gushing sound of the water and the chirping of the birds and even her own heartbeat, it was beating hard against her chest.

She shouted,"Hey!" to no one in particular

"Hello, sweetheart!",came a voice from behind.

"Liam!",she shrieked as soon as she turned around.

She ran and hugged him tightly.

Liam smiled and hugged her back. He was a tall fellow, with shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. He was neither too muscular nor too frail. When he smiled, pearly white teeth were visible and so was an old cut above his lip.

"I was so worried about you",said Liam. "You weren't replying to my letters!"

"No, I read them but I couldn't find time to reply and I just couldn't get time to get out of the palace. Its so weird that they don't have phones here. In our realm, Earth we had these things called phones which we could use to text or call each other anytime of the day."
