Chapter forty six - Third person

The present

The hall grew quiet when Amarog finished his story.

Tys was shocked to learn that his mother was so beautiful that she could make two powerful men hold bitterness and malice against each other just because of their love for her.

But he was angry that the man he had always thought was his father was nothing but an infidel. How dare he break his mother's heart repeatedly the way he had?

Did he know that he was not his father? Was that why he was so callous to him, surely if he had been his real father,he wouldn't have treated him the way he had? Tys asked himself so many questions in his heart, questions he didn't have answers to.

He ached to see his mother and ask her these questions that were eating him up from the insides.

Hera squeezed his sweaty hand in support and he squeezed hers back too, feeling so grateful to her.

If it hadn't been his love for her, he probably would be on his way to his pack to confront Beowulf and his mother.
