Chapter 64

"Lorraine! Lorraine! Lorraine! Wake up." James shook her motionless body violently, his eyes shimmering with fears and unnamed emotions. Her body was heavy, her eyes tightly closed and her lips were still soft.

James positioned his hands on her neck to feel how warm her jugular veins were. There was still life in the veins. He carried her to his room and lowered her on his bed.

It was not a good idea to take her to the hospital nor was it a good idea to let their family doctor take care of Lorraine in this critical condition. James picked up his phone and called his friend, Jason.
