Chapter 28: Advice

"Did the man really do that? he's shameless." Gwen said. I immediately shushed her. "Quiet, someone could hear us." I whispered. Dinner had just ended and we were clearing the table.

"So? he had no right."

"I'm not really bothered about it." I said and dusted the dirty napkin.

"I heard some of the maids talking about him. Some of them grumbled about him being here. They say he's even more unbearable egotistical than his sister." Gwen said.

"Who's his sister?" I asked curiously.

"Lady Vivian, weren't you aware?" It all made sense to me now. 'That's why he's like that. It probably runs in the family.' I thought.

"No I wasn't." We finished up and headed back to the kitchen. "Tomorrow's our first day-off. Where do you think we should go?" Asked Gwen.

"It's not exactly a day-off, we only have four hours to spend away." I started washing the plates

"At least it's something. It's been long I've been in the village, strangely I miss walking on the busy streets."
