I left my mate's chamber after Leo interrupted our conversation. After getting tired of waiting for my mate to feel our bond, I became impatient and decided to ask her about her wolf. She was reluctant at first, more like scared to tell me but since I already approached the topic, I might as well push until she tells me about it.

I could tell that she was uncomfortable with the topic but I really wanted to know what happened to her wolf since I could not sense her at all. Danger has tried connecting with her but comes out with nothing. It's like she doesn't have a wolf.

But that's impossible, how can she not have a wolf when she said that she shifted on her eighteenth birthday and even recognized that bastard as her mate?

Something must have gone wrong in between her birthday and the auction day and I was adamant to find out.

I would never reject her because she doesn't have a wolf, I just wanted to understand what approach I will have to use to tell her that we are mates.
