Chapter Eight One

Four days after Naevia's battle with her father Arnold Cole, the cops arrived over to Zane's mansion, to break the news of Arnold's death.

Even though Naevia didn't care about him, she still had to act like she cared, by putting on an act in front of them.

She had teal tears streaming out, as she whined and held Zane closely. Zane thanked them for the information.

They passed their condolences and told them that his body was kept at the mortuary. "Again, we're sorry for the loss," they said to both Zane and Naevia.

After they left, Naevia wiped her tears off and hissed. Zane laughed at her and teased her on her acting.

"I had to do it, Zane. Otherwise, they'll think father and daughter had an argument. From there, they'll start coming up with different points and ideology to his death. I'm sure you know how these cops and detectives roll?" Naevia said to Zane.

Zane tells her that she's right. He also advised that they go over to see the body, even though they didn't want to.
