Chapter Forty Four

Zane was back at the mansion, sitting in his living room and attending to his other guards. They had presented different work, in which he helped them in solving.

Naevia on the other hand left her room to come and see Zane. She found him helping out his guards with different issues and smiled at him.

She found it pretty sweet. She leaned against the wall of the living room entrance, admiring her husband.

"Should I help him? Nah! I'll watch for now," Naevia said to herself, smiling excitedly.

A guard had shown Zane a file. Zane took a look at it and showed him what to do. "It's pretty easy here. Get to work," Zane ordered the guard, who bowed at him and left his presence.

Zane sighed, seeing that he had two guards left. He's about to face them when his eyes fall on Naevia. She was still leaning against the wall and staring at him.

"Oh! So she has been there watching me all along. I was about to ask where she was, but there she is," he said to himself in his mind. Smirking at Naevia.
