Chapter 14

The weeks passed too fast. One of the brightest signs of the holiday season has come to light, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree. Riley was occupied with the preparations she still had to send the invitations because there were only 10 days before Christmas and she wanted to know who would attend her party. She looked at the invitations and saw her father and stepmother's names. She thought "Should I invite her?" Leo came from behind her and said:

- A penny for your thoughts. he said and smiled with a gentle look on his face

She turned around and she saw him.

- I haven't seen you in a while, where have you been? Riley asked him.

- I was on a business trip, but what were you thinking about, I am sure it was not about me. he told her

He saw the invitations in her hands.

- Are those the invitations? Who are you inviting?

- A few friends, Bruce's family and a few of his relatives, my family and a few of my friends, and a few business partners of Chris.

- Business partners? Which ones?
