chapter 31: Nicole's conviction

Nicole’s discussion with Jeremy played in her head continuously through out that while she was later in her bed, every single word he uttered, his emotions and expressions just seemed like she kept watching the same movie in her mind. It was obvious that Jeremy was a good man, no wonder her Dad was so fond of him.

What she geared most now, was the fact that her goals and Jeremy’s goals did not in anyway align with each other and if she was going to do anything It would probably create a rift between both of them. She was really thinking of forgetting all about the investigation and revenge but whenever she remembered her Dad it rekindled every atom of drive within her that pulled her into the same road that Jeremy sternly warned her against.

Nicole’s conviction was so strong, merely thinking about stopping her goal made her sick all the time but it was obvious that Jeremy was had a point.
