Greyson

[Amya’s POV]

I took a deep breath and tried to collect my thoughts. I still didn’t really understand why Mykel was so hell-bent on knowing about my past, but in the end, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to tell him. Not like speaking the words would change the outcome. No matter what, Greyson was dead and he would never be able to come back.

‘Are you sure about this?’ Mia asked, attempting to make me change my mind. ‘Isn’t that wound still pretty fresh?’

‘Doesn’t matter.’ I insisted. ‘At one point or another, he will find out. Isn’t it better to just be brutally honest?’

Sure, it would reopen a wound and cause the pain that had become a dull throb to reappear, but I actually found myself wanting to talk to someone about this. Especially because, up until now, I had kept it strictly to myself.
