Onyx came up to the barn and she watched as the workers just watched in amazement and she rode him into the stall and he knelt down so she could get down. “Thank you, Sweet Boy,” She smiled sadly as she hugged him.

“Here you go Ma’am,” David said as he handed her the brush and some carrots. “I’ll get everyone to leave so you can have some quiet time.”

“Thank you,” she said as she started brushing him. “What am I going to do?” She asked the ebony horse as she continued to brush him.

“Sweetie.”

She jumped in surprise as Lucian’s voice suddenly pierced through her tumultuously thoughts. “Lucian,” she said holding her chest.

“Dinner is ready,” he said nervously. He found it very intriguing that he was one of the most ruthless Mafia leaders of the United States and yet this tiny woman had him wrapped around her finger and could have him on his knees at a single request and she didn’t want to accept it. Of cour
