Madison’s POV

Tyler has always been a jerk, and he loves to play silly tricks. What was his mother doing at the same restaurant where we had arrived?

"Did you know about this, Tyler, or is it purely coincidental?"

"My mother and I are having lunch."

"Are you insane?" And you didn't think it was appropriate to inform me?”

"It knew you wouldn’t come, I thought it wasn't necessary, so I didn't say."

"I don't want to scold you here like a child, but I can't help myself because you're acting like one." You didn't think it was necessary to notify me that we were going to have lunch with your mother? Are you sure you're serious?”

"It wasn't necessary, so I didn't say."

Tyler lightly grasped my hand as I turned to leave, preventing me from advancing any farther.

"Please wait. I apologize for not informing you, but I knew you wouldn't come if I had. My mother requested to see me. I don't want to confront this alone, which is why I need you to come with me. Please do not go."
