Getting Prepared

It was the weekend, Thomas and Giselle went for a visit at their parent's house.

On their way to the city, they bought refreshments for their parents. "Mom should like this one," Giselle said, observing a chocolate cake.

"Pay for it yourself, afterall you are working," Thomas said, holding an object he found attractive.

They arrived at the house late in the afternoon, after ringing the house bell, Ellen appeared at the door and gave a loud scream: "My babies!" She opened the door wider and hugged Giselle first before hugging Thomas.

"I thought someone didn't see me at first," Thomas teased, hugging his mother.

"How couldn't I?" Ellen smiled, taking a small bag from Giselle.

"He is jealous, mom," Giselle said, hugging Ellen again.

"How was your trip down here?" Ellen asked when they finally settled on the chairs.

"Fine, mom. I had to wake Giselle very early to prepare for this journey. You know how she sleeps," Thomas said, looking towards Giselle's direction.
