The Journey

"We shall be going on a vacation next week," Greg's thick voice thundered in the meeting's room of the company.

Several people murmured, wondering why he made such a decision.

"Maybe he owes another organisation a huge sum."

" ……He wants to run away!" A lady was heard saying.

"........ Thank goodness!"

"Order!" Greg shouted, causing silence in the hall. "We shall resume when I announce via email. Until then, enjoy your holiday!" He said, dismounting the small podium.

All the workers ran back to their offices to pack their properties, "we may never resume," The lady who accused Greg of owing said.

"Why not?" Jake asked, unzipping this small bag.

"I don't know, my instincts pricks me," The lady said again.

"Prick your instincts back, Miss. I'll resume work here again!" Jake chided.

Giselle walked into her office to pack her own possessions, "I'll miss you, Gis," Jake said, stopping to talk with her shortly.

"I will too, Jake. The stories, especially."

Laughing at her remark, he laughed
