I was so confused, Mrs. Corazon described where she left the bug but why can't I find it?

"Are you looking for anything?" Melanie asked me immediately I stood up from where I squatted I guess she must have figured out that I was looking for something.

"No, I'm not." I lied. There is no way she must find out that I placed a bug in her room.

I don't want her to suspect I did something, with the way she was looking at me, she must be suspecting me already.

"It's a necklace that I planned on giving Melanie." I told her as she scoffed.

"Just forget about it!" She said to me.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked her as she scoffed.

"Didn't you see the person who is in charge of cleaning coming out from the room the other time? She must have swept it and thrashed it already. Please let excuse me I want to..." I didn't let her complete whatever she wanted to say as I ran out of the room.
