Kairo laughed bitterly.

"Rich and reputed man?" he asked mockingly.

The way she described him was supposed to mean that he has everything he needs and the world is at his fingertips. But he is not feeling like that. At least, not recently. He is like every other middle-class man out there. Struggling to come to terms with the reality of his life. He is rich, yes, but not rich enough to turn the time back and save his mother and sister from the torments they sustained. He is not as powerful as he used to think he is. He is helpless when it comes to the tears of his sister. He was an idiot who used to think that he could do anything. But as the lies of the past and the relationships of the present surface, he feels like any ordinary man out there with lots of emotions.

He realized that money, reputation, and power are illusions that make people like him feel invisible until the realities of life hit them hard.
