Chapter 45

The bright sun woke Gwen up. She turned around to touch Ricardo but he wasn't on the bed with her. She got up quickly and put on her clothes, she knocked on the bathroom door but no response.

She checked his wardrobe and noticed that a few clothes were gone including his traveling bag. Gwen checked the time and it was already 9 am.

" Fuck!! Why did I oversleep? It's so unlike me " Gwen said as she walked back to her room and took her shower she didn't have the appetite to eat because no one was around to dine with her.

Gwen went downstairs and locked the door, she boarded a taxi which stopped her at Kathryn's house. She got down and paid him off.

Entering the compound the first person she saw was David and he looked all dressed up.

" Who am I seeing? Did you miss your way? " David said as he hugged Gwen.

" Get out!! Why haven't you called me ever since I got a new job? What kind of a younger brother are you? " Gwen asked, cropping up to be angry.

" I'm sorry, I've been busy la
