30. Honesty

Edward Bartlett neatly folded his blanket, sitting on his hospital bed. Then he placed it on top of the pillow beside him. As he was about to reach for his crutches, the door opened.

"How's my excellent patient?" said Doctor Hiller as she came in. "Congratulations, you're finally discharged from the hospital. You really held out well these past two week."

"Thank you for everything, Doctor. You've been a great help to me," he said.

"Did your physio say anything?"

"Yeah. She said my legs are almost healed. I just need to use these--" he gestured toward his crutches, "for a week then come back for a follow up."

Doctor Hiller broke into a smile. "That's good to know."

"Communication is the key to a healthy relationship." It sounds simple but actually complicated. I always advice that to friends in a relationship, but I never got to apply that on mine haha. My past relationships were as unhealthy as my sleeping pattern haha.
