“Come on.” He said as he nudged her to stand.
“To where?” she asked, and he looked her over as she thought something was wrong.
Garrett started to come back to the world, and he hit the water release button because the water had cooled to the point of being cold. When he looked down to Sara, who was still resting on his chest, she lifted her head slightly, but even that seemed to be too much for her to do. Garrett had to admit though she was not experienced at all, she was a very quick learner. He waited until the water had drained enough that he could feel her shiver slightly. He then nudged her to a standing position, where he found himself admiring her body for a minute or two. Then he got up and h
Garett felt nothing but complete protectiveness for the woman who was sleeping next to him as they lay there in the dark. It had been some time since he had a woman near him, but this one was so different from the ones he had in the past. The connection that was there was forged through years of knowing each other and the simple fact that they both hated one person though he wasn’t sure if she really hated Joyce until tonight.
Sara was confused and sleepy still. She was aware of him and his hands that were on her. She didn’t know why everything felt so different with him. She thought she was completely broke when it came to men, and there he was, trying to make everything better. She knew there always had been something different about this one male that was in her life. She didn’t know why, though.
The cool air in the house was all around her. She made the call and hoped he was somewhere where he could take it. The answer was, “I was wondering when you would finally call me.”“Hi, Uncle Tony.” She said with a slight laugh. “It has been a while.”
“What happened in that year?” Garett asked, knowing that he was breaking the dramatic silence that had filled the room.“That was the year everything started to happen for the couple,” Tony said as he seemed to change his voice, and the two people could hear the pride there within the tone.
“What are they barking at?” Sara asked as she looked at Garett. The dogs were trying to get at something in the front yard.“I
“What is this about?” Sara asked with a laugh in her voice.“Just making a point.” He said as he moved up the stairs. He was taking her to where she belonged more than ever before. He wanted her to relax and then sleep for the rest of the night. He knew that she had a rough time before.
Everything felt better with knowing that she felt that way for Garett for the rest of the day. Though he wasn’t a good cook, he made breakfast and hoped it was okay for her to at least start their day. He made a point to learn how to cook something better for her. Almost every thought he was having had her at the center of it. He had to catch himself a few times at stopping himself from asking her what he could do to make things better in the house. Garett knew that when he got 09p9i8o/”hit, it was going to be bad. He knew from dealing with his own mother for so l
