"Ms Perkins?" Mr Smith called wanting to be sure she was the one he was seeing.

Victoria halted on her track to see if the voice which she had guessed to be Mr Smith was indeed his. Once she confirmed, a smile formed on her face, she knew it was his but didn't know why she contemplated.

"You are still here? What happened?" Mr Smith asked, his both hands in his pants pocket.

"Oh. I forgot my slippers. I thought I would come to work with my slippers today but it turns out I didn't and..." She trailed off showing him her broken heels.

His eyes widened a bit in realization. "Oh." He muttered.

"That's why I came. I am on my way home though." she tells him.

"I will drop you. After all I cannot let you walk barefooted." He blurted out before thinking.

"Oh." Victoria muttered. "It's actually no problem. I can manage. I will just call an Uber and they will drop me off. Don't want to disturb you." She tells him.

Mr Smith sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "You always reject my offer
