Percival and I were brought to the reception venue by our driver. As we went inside, Minty and Cadmus' families instantly noticed us. Minty's family began to whisper to each other while looking at me. On the other hand, only Cadmus' mother showed annoyance upon my arrival.

The staff directed us to a table. Percival drew a chair for me before taking his seat. We sat at the same table as Koen and a few other businessmen and their wives.

"Doing alright?" Koen whispered without looking at me. He was sipping from his wine.

"Of course," I replied.

Koen looked at Percival's hand holding mine.

"At least one of us is enjoying," Koen mumbled with a smirk, but I didn't hear it clear enough.

"What was that?"

"Isn't your date too clingy for your liking?" Koen raised an eyebrow at me.

"I heard that," Percy joined in. "Holding her hand doesn't make me clingy, Koen. You should try it sometimes. I mean, if you could get a girlfriend, you know?"
