Chapter 61 - Dee

After visiting Brandon and Katherine’s room, Shane wheels me back into my hospital room.  My eyes instantly go to my father’s bed and, like always, I say a small little silent prayer that he will wake up soon. 

However, I’m relieved to see that the room is back to normal. 

Page jumps off the couch.  “Dee, are you feeling better now?”

Feeling better.  Can I really feel better after what we witnessed? 

I sigh and slowly shake my head.  “I’m not better, but I think I’ve gotten most of my frustrations out.  Thanks for helping to clean the room up after my explosion.”

Shane stops the wheelchair next to my bed and steps to the side of me.  A crease forms along his forehead as he looks down at me.  “Did you get out of bed on your own before?”

Page rushes to the other side of the bed and blurts out, “Yes.  She was like a raging bull that you couldn’t stop.”
