6 || Jealous

Calum calls me two more times. I send texts to inform him of the change in plans but they go unreplied. Lunch with the girls is full on gossip and laughing mode. Until Jackson walks into the cafeteria with Regina hanging from his arm. 

The sight of the duo is a soft blow to my chest. I make an involuntary sound that the girls notice, and their laughter dies off. Jackson and Regina find a seat with their clique. I pretend not to notice but my gaze strays a few times to their table.

“We should go to my parent’s beach house this weekend or next,” Amelia says. It’s to drag me out of my slump but now my eyes are fixed on them. I can’t stop staring.
