The Investigation

Shantel sat with Fred in the living room while Noah was with the police. He had called the police and the investigation and search for Valeria had already started.

"Aunty, where is my mama?" Fred cried.

Shantel's heart broke even more, she'd been trying to be strong for Fred, she'd been holding back her tears because she didn't want to cry in front of him, but she couldn't do that anymore. His words broke her and she burst into tears.

Fred wailed even more when he saw her crying.

"I'm so sorry Fred, we'll find your mama soon." Shantel said, amidst sobs.

Noah came to meet them and he knelt in front of Fred.

"Papa," Fred cried as he hugged him.

A lone tear slipped down Noah's cheek but he immediately wiped it off.

"Papa I want my mama. Where is mama? When is she gonna come home? Bring her back papa, bring mama home." Fred cried.
