Valeria woke up with a churning stomach. It was obvious that she lacked food and, honestly, she didn't feel like eating anything yet. She wasn't in the mood to eat. All she wanted at that very moment was to get the fuck out of the room she was locked in. She thought about her son and Shane. She believed they would be so worried about her. She wondered what Noah would be thinking at that moment. Does he have an idea that she was kidnapped by Ergon? How was she going to leave the hell hole without being caught? What was she thinking? She knew she wouldn't be able to make it out of there. Strider, or whoever his godforsaken name was, was the worst nightmare for her. Whoever he was to Ergon she did not care. If she really wanted to be reunited with her son and her man again, then she would have to fight for herself this time. She needs to find a way out for herself because she knows for a fact that no one will be able to find where she was. Rather than wait for magic to happen, she ha
She waited for Noah while pacing the floor of the living room worriedly. Ever since Noah left with the detectives, she hadn't heard anything from him up until that very moment. She had sent Fred to school even though he didn't want to go and wanted to wait for his mom. She knew Fred wouldn't be sending Valeria any time soon and hence she deceived the boy by telling him that his mother had gone to work and wouldn't be back until some days. The thing is, she might be able to follow him for now, but there's no guarantee that she would be able to do that forever. While she kept pacing the floors of the house, she suddenly heard the engine of a car drive into the apartment.Shane immediately scurried over to the window and, with her greatest relief, she found Noah getting out of the car. She had wanted to walk over to him, greet him and ask him about her friend. But then, she knew she had to wait patiently. Who knows, as he was coming out, maybe Valeria would come out of the car as well.
Adrainna knew for a fact that Noah wouldn't let her be, most especially now that he suspected her. She needs to inform Ergon about Noah, so he would know what to do. Adrainna quickly placed a call to Ergon to inform him.“Hey, how is it going over there?” Ergon asked from the other end of the phone.“Listen to me, Ergon, I think Noah knows we have Valeria. So, you guess what? I don't think he will let this go. He will surely come for us. If I were you, I would find a way to get Valeria as far as possible.”“Chill, Adrainna, I'm smarter than that. Do you think I'm scared of Noah? Well, you need to think again. There's nothing he can do to me for Valeria. He knew what he had done. He did me wrong, so getting back the woman I love is the best thing I've ever done.”“No, you don't understand what I'm trying to say, Ergon. If Valeria is found by him, do you think Noah will come back to him? Don't be selfish and try to understand what I'm trying to say for once, will you?” Ergon went si
"Let me go!" Valeria struggled to be set free from Ergon's grasp, but he was just too strong for her."You thought you would be able to run away from me, Valeria. Well, you will have to think again!""Let me go, no matter what you do, I will never be yours!" That annoyed Ergon to a great extent. He couldn't believe Valeria would choose someone who tore them apart, rather than him. He had been trying to make her see that he could be a better man for her, but she kept refusing him.Valeria struggled to get away from him, but he would never let that happen. Over his dead body will he allow Nosh to be with her? She belonged to him, only to him. While in the process of struggling to keep her to him, she stepped on his foot with her heels. Ergon instantly winced in pain and loosened his hold on her unintentionally and Valeria used that as a medium to run away from him. Just as she was running, she tripped and fell, hitting her head on a nearby stone.Valeria passed out instantly with blo
Noah took Fred home with him and bathed him. This was something he had no idea about, but then when he actually did it for the first time, he felt so good about it. It was indeed a good thing to have a son. "Dad, will you take me out as you promised?""Of course, pumpkin, it's the weekend anyway, so we will do more shopping over the weekend, most especially since I don't have any work at the weekend. "Yey!"" That is great!"Seeing Fred happy made him happy too. He just hoped Fred wouldn't ask about his mom, at least not until he found out where she was exactly. "Dad? Why isn't mummy coming yet? Doesn't she miss me?"Noah froze. That was the same question he had been praying against. He guessed the question was inevitable and he couldn't run away from the question. "Uhm, your mummy went on a business trip with my team and she's extremely busy. But you don't have to worry though. I've sent for her, so she will be back before you know it. "Oh, she went on a business trip. Does that
Noah rolled his eyes at what his son had just said. He acts like an adult, even though he was still a kid. "Okay, sir, give me your hand, anyway," Noah stretched his hands at Fred and the little man quickly placed his hands in his happily. He shut the door and walked Fred to the gates. "Hello, Fred, you are here," a lady with dark brown hair and a little skimpy black skirt and a turtle neck top said. "Oh, and you are...?"She trailed off, looking in Noah's direction. "I'm Noah, Fred's dad," Noah replied, politely. "Oh my! Now I see the striking resemblance!" She stated, staring at him intensely. "Oh, my name is Miss Kate, Fred's sports teacher," she stretched her hands toward Noah for a handshake.Noah stretched out his hands to have a handshake with her as well. Suddenly, Fred put down Noah's hand."He's my daddy, not yours, Miss Kate," Fred stated with a frown on his face. Noah took a glance at his son in bewilderment. He didn't understand what Fred thought in his little mi
"I need the money for a project I'm working on. Don't ask me what kind of project. I will let you know once I'm done, but for now, it remains a secret," Ergon said. Deep down, he hoped Noah wouldn't insist on what he needed the money for because he wouldn't be able to explain himself. "Okay, I will give you the money, but I do hope you will show me the results, just as you've claimed," Noah stated. "You don't have to worry, brother, I will make sure you see exactly what I'm talking about. He waited for Noah to sign the check for him, and the moment he did, he took the cheque from him and immediately headed for the door. Just then, he was stopped by Noah. "I'm sure you know where Valeria is, don't you?"Ergon paused. He never expected Noah to be so direct with his question, but then, it was entirely his call to make Noah believe or not believe him.He slowly turned around, maintaining a stern appearance. "What are you talking about?" Ergon asked, as if he had no idea what Noah was
Valeria opened her eyes slowly, but she could hardly take in the bright lights that shone in her eyes, so, she quickly shut her eyes. Her head banged painfully. She tried to reach for her head but she noticed it was bandaged. She was unaware of where she was. She could only tell that she was in a white room and on a bed wearing a white gown. When a man dressed in white who seemed to be a doctor came in, she wanted to ask him how she got there, but the pains in her head prevented her from doing so. He told her to relax and not speak out yet, so the pain wouldn't get worse. She laid on the bed as she was instructed to, hoping the pains would subside. Fortunately, just as the doctor had said, the pain slowly faded away and her vision became bright when her eyes were able to adjust to the light. Just as she was about to close her eyes, a guy walked into the room quietly. He doesn't look familiar and neither does he look strange. "Hey, heard you're awake now," Valeria stared at him f
