Kian hadn’t said a word to me since we got into the car. I didn’t know if I was more concerned with the fact that he wasn’t talking to me, or I was just worried about what he could do to the guards that were with me when I was attacked. I shrieked at the thought of the extent at which he would go to prevent me from getting attacked once more, and the punishment he had for the guards.

I explained to him that it wasn’t entirely their fault, I was upset about them following me around, so I asked them to wait outside the mall for me, and that was when the attack took place. Certainly, the culprits must have known that I wasn’t with security, that’s why they were bold enough to attack me.

However, Kian still blamed them for not arriving in time to help me, even though I told him they did. My mind was frazzled, as I thought of so many reasons why I was attacked at the mall.
