Lessia's POV:

I woke up to see Kian standing before me dressed up, like he was already leaving for work. His body looked as beautiful as it always had been. The light from the sun, stabbing through the window, shone on him, making him seem golden in my eyes.

I glanced at the wall-clock to see how long I had slept. It turned out I didn’t oversleep, Kian just happened to wake up earlier. With the events that took place last night, I doubted that I would be leaving the room anytime soon.

I smiled at him. I waited for a while, to see if he would by any chance turn around to return my smile. He did not. It seemed like he hadn't even noticed that I was looking at him, or that I was even awake.

"Good morning, love," I greeted, hoping to get his attention. He didn't reply me, nor did he even act like I had even said anything. It was troubling to me. Had I done something wrong? Or said something I shouldn’t have? I was both curious and perplexed.

I had several questions play out in my head.
