After Six Months

“You didn’t shed a single tear when he was your love. You loved him before marriage. You couldn’t even live without him but that day you didn’t even shed a tear on his death. Did you even love him?”

Hearing that slight voice, tears came to the eyes of the girl lying in front. On hearing the last question, her eyebrows knitted together as if she was not even allowed to ask this question. She shook her head slightly.

“So start crying, Vittoria, you have to cry for him. Aren’t you sad about his death?”

The girl nodded while more tears spilled out of her closed eyes. They slowly made their way to her chin but as more and more fat tears joined them, the pace increased and then, her whole face was stained with tears.

“Yes…yes, Vittoria! Cry! Cry your heart out…let John also see your tears and hear your painful voice.”
