Ugly Jealousy

"You have ten minutes, no more." Melech told Azalia as they walked to the infirmary where Emet had apparently woken up. "I don't have any time to waste on such things." He declared, his words harsh and final.

"Emet is important to me." Azalia frowned at Melech. "I'll spend as much time as I want with him, whether you like it or not." She wasn't one to take orders from anyone, not even from the Adom King. She wouldn't spend so little time with Emet just because Melech had said so.

"He should have been dead for challenging me." He seethed at Azalia's defiance.

"I know." She was aware of this. "And I can't thank you enough for sparing his life." Melech would have been in his right if he had killed Emet, because the Lavan knight had been the one to defy him. Azalia was grateful he had let him live, really. "I'll make sure he never defies you again." She would have a serious conversation with Emet as soon as she saw him.
