IT HAS BEEN over a week since she started attending Transylvania Academy. The double doors of her balcony welcomed the flashing lights from the lightning zaps outside the House of Lamentation. Unlike the peaceful night of the magical floating island, the hill where the House of Lamentation was located was the only place adorned with ominous Nimbus clouds which were constantly inflicted by thunderclaps and lightning zaps.
The once black-colored and spotless egg turned gray. A reptile’s scale replaced the once smooth surface of the egg. Red stripes close to the image of lightning decorated the egg that was now placed atop her desk. With Maleficent’s chin on her palm, her glowing green eyes with the same color as her brooch stared at the familiar’s egg. Somehow, she was both looking forward and scared of what she would see behind the rough-looking eggshells. She remembered her father w
The vibrations of the canopy which caused the drapes surrounding her bed to shake snapped Maleficent from her dreamless state. The clattering of her things and the roaring sounds outside her balcony muted the thunderclaps around the House of Lamentation. Her glowing green eyes, now fully awake, widened.“What the heck is happening?” Maleficent asked herself as she stood up. Clad in her pajamas, she could see that it was raining quite heavily outside along with the constant zaps of lightning and thunderclaps surrounding the House of Lamentation, the Halflings dorm house under the Malevolent Dormitory’s forsaken land. Her question was answered when a gigantic bird’s head crashed into the center of her room from the balcony. The walls were blown and the debris flew everywhere. The five meters distance be
Soaked with the rain, Maleficent, who was dead tired from the heavy consumption of life force accompanied by her lack of sleep. Her wings brought her back to her destroyed room which was full of debris. Not minding the shards that were embedded on her soles as the blood trickled from her wounds every time she took a step towards her bed.Cent felt that she could sleep an entire century with her body being so heavy. Her consciousness kept on urging her to stay alert and to remain vigilant after killing an angel on a whim and a fit of anger. But the warm sensation spreading from her inner heart as if it was a core of demonic aura surging with overwhelming power. Something was changing inside her. In her slumber, Cent knew it. Drops of cold sweat fell from her face and neck. The edges of her gigantic wings sharpened. And the shadows around her which barely reacted to her mood were now on rampage –
Kneeling at the top of her bed, wide green eyes blinked and stared at a pair of glowing emerald eyes. A soft gasp escaped from the widened thin pink lips of the horned being named Maleficent. Mirroring her agape lips, her eyes widened upon facing the being who she protected and nurtured since she stepped foot inside Transylvania Academy. The zaps of lightning and the roars of thunderclaps were silenced – muting the external factors around the two.“Kruu?” The green-eyed creature tilted its small and horned head to the side as if it was assessing its master.Cent felt her heart thumping like crazy – like she was being engulfed with nervousness and excitement in one go. She did not know how to react if whether she should scream her lungs out or she should just bawl her eyes out. The gnawing sense of familiarity the moment their ey
Thank fuck that I changed my pajamas after receiving a magical floating letter in my room.Clad in her gothic dress and lacy stockings paired with a wedged shoes, Maleficent’s straight black hair, and cobalt-colored eyes were the exact opposite of her glowing green eyes that matched the color of her teardrop-shaped brooch. Her horns and wings were displayed as she walked with confidence at the center of the hallway – rendering any creature from the three great dormitories speechless. Her stance reminded them that even if she was rumored to be the weakest among the Halflings, she was able to kill an angel without any qualms. Three Slaughter butterflies flew around her as she walked towards the headmaster’s office.A hundred pairs of eyes looked maliciously at her. The depravity they gave off engulfe
The meeting with the guardian angel, Gabriel, continued with Cent being heavily guarded by her father. The Grand Duke of the Nether World was emitting a tremendous amount of demonic magic around her ever since the young-looking father of Angelo stepped into the headmaster’s office. The moment the guardian angel stepped foot inside, the temperature dropped. Cent could practically hear the gears turning inside her father’s mind as she observed his predatory eyes met Gabriel’s cold ones. It was as if there was a long history of enmity between them although it was already given since they were from the two opposing races that were meant to harm each other.“Gukasho, take Cent outside.” Maleficent heard the finality from her father’s words. It stunned her for she was once reminded again that before he became her father, he was a feared demon lord from the
“M-My lady, are you sure that what happened to your room was not on purpose?” Gukasho, who was munching the salmon sandwich tiptoed and leaned towards her. He covered his mouth that doubled the size of his fist-like eyes and whispered towards Maleficent, who was fidgeting while watching her father walked around the room. Debris was scattered on the tiled floor. The crumpled furniture laid like broken toys smashed by a child’s tantrum. The wallpapers were torn as if a werewolf visited her overnight – though she did not know if werewolves existed in the Ambivalent Dormitory.Cent barely shrugged her shoulders. “The Basilisk smashed my balcony in the middle of the night. The next thing I knew, I was so pissed of that I could beat anyone before me to a pulp. Do you know the saying never pull a prank against a newly awake person? Well for me, it is to never pull
Blurred silhouettes that were hovering above her were the first image that Maleficent saw upon opening her eyes. The ache that spread around her muscles restricted her from sitting up or even moving an inch from her position. Her throat was parched as if she was exposed to a long drought and her lips were chapped. Cent did not know why she was feeling these as if she was dead tired from traveling though she did not remember what transpired after being swallowed by the black hole created by her father.Cent could not remember anything but one word that was whispered right next to her ear.“Interesting.”She did not know who uttered that word but the single word stuck to her like glue. Cent knew that if she exp
Clad in her usual gothic dress made of black lace and black stockings paired with black-colored wedge sandals. Maleficent’s long raven hair fell like waterfalls onto her back as she sashayed towards the dining room. The empty hallway that she walked past was decorated with paintings hanging to the dark-painted walls. The paintings depicted images of different creatures which were having a feast with the humans as food – at every apex of the center stood an image of a bat-like beast with a familiar-looking set of horns and pair of wings. Cent concluded that the paintings were the history of this mansion and were painted by her father. Aside from paintings, statues made of marble littered everywhere and the images were angels being stepped on by a winged demon. Instead of shivering, Cent felt like it was only natural since she dreamed of morbid scenes like these when she was still in the human realm also
