He was perched in his swivel chair working on his pending files when his eyes fell on the wall clock showing it was nearly 3 at noon. He was so engrossed in his work that he didn't realize it was already past lunchtime and she didn't come out of her room. Since he couldn't attend the meeting at the office he worked at home.
