Evelyn glanced back at Victoria, and Raymond's eyes followed her movements.

"I see you have made your name everywhere, apparently." Raymond cocked an eyebrow with detest in his eyes. His fingers left red marks on Evelyn's wrist as she struggled in vain.

"I thought you were smarter than to take the words of people like Victoria Foster," Evelyn shook her head with disappointment.

Raymond frowned at her calm tone.

His people had been searching for her for the past couple of days, but she didn't look like someone in hiding who just got caught by a fearful enemy.

She wasn't in hiding. Evelyn had noticed some unfriendly attention after she left the Whites, but has been dealing with ill intentions all her life, she was good at protecting herself.
