'Whorification'

That day marked a significant turn in Gilbert's life. The sterile aroma of the hospital, the sound of hushed conversations, and the sight of the ever-busy hospital staff all felt familiar now. He walked down the hospital hallway, each step bringing him closer to Alexa's mother's room.

As he pushed open the door, Alexa's mother was propped up on the hospital bed, her frail hands peeling an apple. She looked up as he entered, her expression lighting up at the sight of the familiar face. She then greeted him.

"Oh, my young man has returned," she exclaimed, her voice filled with warmth. "What brings you here today, Mr. Gardier? Do you want to talk about marrying my daughter?"

Gilbert locked eyes with Mrs. Larossa, a determined glint in his gaze. He was steadfast in his decision to do whatever was necessary to win Alexa's heart and ensure she was his woman.

"Mrs. Larossa," Gilbert started, his voice imbued with sincerity, "Sell your daughter to me. I want to marry her. I am serious now."
