Jax POV

"Where are we, Liam?" I looked over the little apothecary shop annoyed. He wasn't going to torture Riley with magics. I knew in my soul she was pregnant and that it was our child.

From the second I read her name on her resume I felt a connection to her. She was something special, and she belonged with us. I can't understand how Liam constantly ignored that.

"An old friend's. Calm your wolf, Jax." He warned me.

Riley nervously shook by my side the entire time. She barely spoke and when she did, it was just pleads to let her go home. I wanted to see that confident woman I knew her to be, but I also understood she was teetering on losing her mind right now.

The best I could do was show her that she would have a good life here, eventually. She just needed to adjust to her new life and see she belonged here with me and Liam.
