“Welcome back!” Gloria greeted me and Alessio with a smile as we stood up from the couch to hug her.

Many of the people of our pack had gathered in the hall and were curiously staring at us. Some even chimed in to ask about our time at the vacation, and the atmosphere was so pleasant that for the first time I did not mind being around the pack people.

“I am so sorry that your trip was a short one,” Gloria said with a soft sigh, “you both deserved a break after all the issues.

“It is alright.” I leaned on Alessio’s shoulder, “we can always go on a longer trip when things have settled down for everyone. This was more important, of course.”

She smiled at me gratefully and then looked at Alessio, “Daniel is already waiting for you in the office room, Leo. He gathere the information and proofs as much as he could. You can go and discuss.”
