Olive found herself in the center of attention now. It wasn't her fault that so many eyes were on her. Besides, why did Marta have to complicate the costume selection? With a feathered hairpin perched high on her head, Olive looked like a medieval noblewoman attending a party. She didn't want to waste money on all the fancy apartments that Marta had offered.
"What a waste of money," she muttered. Even though the reason Olive gave was that she had the right outfit for tonight's gala theme, she didn't want the hassle of renting an apartment and preferred to stick to her style.
