For almost a week, Naina sat quietly in a small restaurant not far from the black-gated house that had been her focus. No matter how much time she wasted just to watch from a distance, she was captivated by the red-haired woman living in that house. Naina still couldn't believe she had been expelled from there a few days ago. She had waited so patiently for the return of the stranger she called "Mom."

"Do you want to eat a vegetable salad?" the restaurant owner asks. Her name is Bu Odah. She's thrilled whenever Naina visits. Regardless of whose child she is, each time the girl comes, she spends a lot of money. Odah has asked several times, but the girl won't say why she waits here.

She merely replies, "I'm bored at home; there's no one there. So, I stay here. Is that okay, Bu?"
